Candidate investigated for lying about education
RED BLUFF, Calif. - According to the Tehama County Department of Education Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources, the Tehama County Sheriff's Department has just launched an investigation into Charles Allen.
Tehama County Superintendent Candidate Charles Allen is being accused of lying about his education background. Allen has served as the Deputy Superintendent for the Tehama County Department of Education since 2009.
Allen has stated that he never lied about having a master's degree, and that H.R. always knew he had the equivalent to a master's degree. However, public records have shown that Allen in fact claimed to have a master's degree on his resume and it was what he used to apply for his current position.
This has been an ongoing debate, and the Assistant Superintendent of H.R. said since it's in the hands of law enforcement she couldn't comment.
