County drug task force finds children in heroin home


EUREKA, Calif. - Two children were found living in suspected drug house on Tuesday, two adults were arrested.

On Tuesday the 18 at 6:00 p.m. agents with the Humboldt County Drug Task Force (DTF) assisted by Officers from the Eureka Police Department (EPD) and deputies from the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) served a search warrant for two houses on the 1800 block of Allard Avenue in Eureka.

According to law enforcement, DTF agents located Selina Chavez Robles, 22, and Jonnathan Sabaria Garcia in one of the homes. Officials also report finding Robles two children in the homes who are five and three years old.

While searching the home DTF agents reported finding about one ounce of heroin, and $22,000 in cash.

Both Garcia and Robles were booked into the Humboldt County Correctional facility for possession of a narcotic for sales and child endangerment. Law enforcement said that Child Welfare Services responded to the scene and transported the children to a family member's house.

No arrests were made in the other house that was searched but law enforcement noted that several items of evidence were discovered that linked both houses together.
