Deputies investigating two suspected homicides: possible stabbing and shooting


KLAMATH, Calif. - The Del Norte County Sheriff's Office is investigating two separate fatal incidents that occurred early Monday morning in Klamath, according to Commander Bill Stevens.

On March 20, around 2:30 a.m, two men were stabbed at Crivelli's bar in Klamath on the 4100 block of State Highway 169, according to investigators.

One man died from his injuries and the other was taken to the emergency room and is said to be in stable condition, according to Stevens.

Later that morning around 6:00 a.m, a woman was shot and died from her injuries, according to deputies.

Stevens said an alert was put out for all officers nearby to be on the lookout for a car in connection to the shooting.

Deputies said the California Highway Patrol stopped the car in Mckinleyville. Four occupants were found inside and arrested, according to Stevens. Deputies said a child was also found in the car. There was also a weapon discovered in the car.

The Del Norte County Sheriff's Office is not releasing the names of the deceased at this time. They are current investigating any connections between the two fatal incidents.

Deputies said they are investigating both events as homicides.
