Donate to Stuff the Bus, get a free taco
CHICO, Calif. - If you can make it to the Chico Mall to donate to Stuff the Bus on Friday, you will get a taco in return.
That's thanks to Burrito Bandito, who has partnered with KRCR News Channel 7, the Salvation Army and other organizations, to help raise food collections this year as much as possible.
Burrito Bandito will have a trailer set up at the Chico Mall from noon to 2 p.m. on Friday. They will be give anyone a steak, chicken or shredded beef soft taco for your donation of any non-perishable food item.
Organizers said people can donate as much or as little as they like, and will still get a taco, but to keep in mind that all donations benefit families in need.
Burrito Bandito has been in business in Chico and Redding for about 13 years. Owner Matt Labarbera said it is important for them to stay connected to the community by giving back.
"It is a good chance for us to give back a little bit and it's important to kind of help everyone," said Labarbera. "We're family owned and we're a small business and it's good to see where our money goes and give back to everyone else."
Stuff the Bus is currently going on now, and the public can donate non-perishable food items ahead of Friday's event at businesses in Chico and Redding. For a list of locations, click here.
