Freaky Friday: Full moon falls on Friday the 13th
Friday is a very rare day, it's Friday the 13th with a full moon. The full moon was seen in the early morning hours on Friday. This full moon is nicknamed Honey Moon because of its honey color. According to National Geographic, with the sun's path across the sky at its highest during this month of the summer solstice, the moon is at its lowest. That keeps the lunar orb close to the horizon and makes it appear more amber than other full moons this year. The last time a Honey Moon fell on Friday the 13th was in 1919, the next will be in June of 2098. The next time a normal full moon will appear on Friday the 13th will be in August of 2048. The last time that happened was 14 years ago.
