Police seek help in finding truck seen near trail robbery, murder


The Tehama County Sheriff's Office released a picture Friday of a vehicle they believe may be connected to a robbery turned murder at the Iron Canyon Trail May 16.

Detectives are asking for assistance from the public identifying the vehicle and its driver as the vehicle was seen near the area of Iron Canyon Trail around the time of the incident. The vehicle is described at a white 2009 to 2013 Chevrolet Silverado Extended Cab with a "snugtop' type shell.

A Sheriff's Office press released described the vehicle as having two distinguishing characteristics in addition to the "snugtop". The vehicle has basic stock 8-hole chrome wheels and a chrome wrap around front bumper.

Poice are calling the driver a person of interest. Anyone with information regarding this vehicle and its driver is urged to call Detective Jeff Garrett at 530 529-7920 or by contacting the Tehama County Sheriff's Dispatch at 530 529-7900.
