Razor-Thin Chico City Council Race

CHICO, Calif. - The race for Chico City Council came down to just eight votes. Four seats were up for grabs in the Tuesday election. Incumbent Ann Schwab was the top vote getter, with 14 percent, followed by newcomers Sean Morgan and Tami Ritter took the next two seats with about 12 percent. For the fourth seat, Randall Stone edged out Andrew Coolidge by just 8 votes, each of them getting more than 8,700 votes. The results must still be certified, and with such a close election, the results are subject to change.
