Sheriff's office delays full opening of records office
WEAVERVILLE, Calif. - The Trinity County Sheriff's Office announced that it is delaying the planned return to full-time hours for its records office.
The administration lobby and records office was meant to resume full hours November 27, but deputies announced Wednesday that they would be delaying the change until February.
The sheriff's office said they are unable to open on a full time-basis when expected because of personnel changes.
In August, the office reduced the hours for the administration lobby and records office to two days a week, citing short staffing and budget restrictions.
Their goal is to return to operating five days a week, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Until then, the office will be open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 a.m. to noon, and by appointment.
