Thief tries to sell stolen property on Craigslist


EUREKA, Calif. - On Thursday the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office received a report from a burglary victim that their stolen property was being sold on Craigslist.

Law enforcement reports making plans with the victim to arrange a meeting with the seller Anthony Joseph Holberg, 30, in Eureka.

During the meeting, the Sheriff's deputies and victim report determining that the items Holberg was selling were indeed stolen. Law enforcement also says they found several other items on the scene that belonged to the victim.

Holberg also had two warrants out for his arrest one of which was for theft.

Anthony Holberg was arrested and transported to the Humboldt County Correctional Facility where he was booked for grand theft, receiving stolen property, and his two outstanding warrants. His bail was set at $50,000.
