Trinity woman arrested for stabbing victim several times over drugs


WEAVERVILLE, Calif. - A victim was stabbed several times in the back with scissors reportedly over marijuana in Weaverville on Wednesday, according to the Trinity County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies did not reveal the identity of the victim, but they said at about 3 p.m. on Oct. 25, they were called out to the area of Weaver Street in Weaverville for reports of a stabbing. When deputies got there, they said they found the victim with five stabs wounds in the back.

According to investigators, Jennifer Graves was later identified through a photographic line-up by the victim and was arrested Thursday morning and taken into custody.

When Graves was interviewed later by deputies, the Trinity County Sheriff's Office said she admitted that she had stabbed the victim several times with scissors after she was verbally arguing with the victim over a small amount of marijuana.

The victim was treated at the hospital and none of the injuries were life threatening, deputies said.
