Weather Forecast: Rain and gusty winds moves in Wednesday
Make sure to grab that jacket before heading out this morning, temperatures are quite chilly across the North Coast and will only warm up slightly by the afternoon. Overall conditions will be fairly similar to what we saw on Monday with light winds and afternoon highs in the 50s and 60s for both the coast and inland areas. Changes are expected to move in though by the evening hours, first with increasing cloud cover then chances for rain by Wednesday.
The storm system will move through first along the North Coast early in the day and then pushing south and east into the valley by the afternoon. As it does so south winds will pick up becoming gusty at times. A Wind Advisory will go into effect along the coast starting 4am Wednesday through 4am Thursday for gusts up to 50 mph. While the system looks wet, it is also warmer so snow levels will remain fairly high around 6000 to 7000 feet.
The rain is expected to linger through Thursday with another wave following suite right behind it for Friday. During this time temperatures will not change much staying mainly in the 50s. The good news, we are tracking a break just in time for Veterans Day on Saturday. That is short lived as another system is expected to move in by Sunday with another round of rain through the night and into Monday morning. Stick with the First Alert Weather team as we continue to track each wave and its intensity. We'll bring you any updates as they come in through the forecast.
