Weather Forecast: Showery Thursday, Next System Arrives Early Friday
Redding, Chico& Red Bluff - Showers will continue to overspread the Northstate overnight and into Thursday.
A large low pressure system is bringing scattered showers to Northstate through Thursday afternoon. This is a very warm system so snow levels will remain above pass levels Thursday and through at least the early evening hours Friday.
A secondary system will arrive late Thursday and into Friday morning. This system will be more powerful bringing strong gusty southerly winds and periods of heavy rain.
Colder air will arrive Friday night but this will be once most of the moisture is already exiting. We do not expect any major snow accumulations below 6,000 ft.
Expect dry conditions this weekend with the next system arriving late Monday of next week.
