2 Buds BBQ participates in Stuff the Bus summer food drive
RED BLUFF, Calif. - For the first time '2 Buds BBQ' in Red Bluff is participating in KRCR News Channel 7's Stuff the Bus summer food drive.
Adam Parkinson, the manager of the restaurant, said they participated in the toy drive during Christmas and it was a big hit.
Parkinson said they wanted to help out more.
He explained although they do not have any nonperishable food items in their red barrel yet he is hoping the community will come on out and donate.
"We try to help the community anywhere we can," Parkinson said. "We've done a little bit of volunteer work, donations. What little we can try to help, we are hurting just as anybody else is. But if we have a spot that people can drop stuff off and come get something to eat, help me out help everyone out. I think it's an all around good thing."
Parkinson mentioned people who drop off donations will get 15 percent off their meal or a free drink.
Friday is the big collection day. Donations can be dropped off in Redding at Crown Motors from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and in Chico at the Downtown City Plaza from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
If you cannot stop by on Friday the red barrels at various locations in the Northstate will be out until the 19.
