REDDING, Calif. - The Stuff the Bus barrel at Crown Motors in Redding is overflowing as customers and employees drop off donations to help families in need this summer.

All nonperishable food donated through KRCR News Channel 7's Stuff the Bus food drive will be given to the Salvation Army and passed out throughout Shasta, Tehama and Butte counties.

Crown Motors is a big sponsor of the drive ever year and will host the RABA bus for the live event on Friday, May 12.

General Manager Steve Roberts said while the barrel was already full he sent his executive assistant out to get even more and there was plenty of room left on the showroom floor.

"Everything helps, I mean whether it be one can of peas or a case of them. Whatever they can bring helps the community," said Roberts.

There are several Stuff the Bus barrels throughout the Northstate. For a complete list click here. Donatoins can also be dropped off at Crown Motors on Friday between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. or in Chico at the Downtown City Plaza between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.
