Made in Chico collects toys for Stuff the Bus toy drive
CHICO, Calif. - Anyone can make a child's Christmas just by donating a toy for KRCR News Channel 7's annual Stuff the Bus toy drive.
KRCR has teamed with the Salvation Army and local Ford Dealers to distribute red barrels out at several locations in the Northstate. Each location is collecting the new, unwrapped toys.
On December 8 is the big finale with the day-long toy collection event at Crown Motors in Redding and the Downtown City Plaza in Chico.
Made in Chico in downtown is one of the many locations with a red barrel to collect the toy donations.
Sunday the store was bustling with shoppers. Store Manager Aimee Anderson said it's important for them and the community to help those who are less fortunate.
"While not all of us have felt that need personally to create a magical Christmas I think it just is a good time to remember that not all of us are fortunate and this is a great time to put your hand in your pocket," explained Anderson. "Give a little back to a kid in need and bring a smile to someone's face, which is really what Christmas is all about."
Anyone wanting to donate can bring new and unwrapped toys to one of the many locations listed on the KRCR website under the community tab, or to the Stuff the Bus event on Friday.
