Turtle Bay Museum helps to Stuff the Bus, collect food donations
REDDING, Calif. - On May 12, KRCR News Channel 7 and local Ford dealers will be stuffing two buses with non-perishable food for the Salvation Army.
Turtle Bay Museum is one of the locations people can drop off donations.
They are offering two dollars off park admission for donating things like canned food and boxed meals.
Turtle Bay will also bring some critters to Crown Motors in Redding on the day of the bus stuffing.
"Come on down and donate some awesome food and you may just get to meet one of our animal ambassadors of Turtle Bay," said Head Animal Trainer Adrienne John.
"When children are hungry, the capacity for learning is diminished. That's why it's so important that they have a breakfast every day before they go to school. We really want kids to come into the park, and when they're out in the world to be sponging and learning as much as possible," said Turtle Bay Development Manager Megan Conn.
The donation bin can be found at the entrance of the museum, and will be accepting food until May 19.
