A Tehama County boy is fighting leukemia, and family members are hoping you can help them with the fight. 6-year old Landon Touvell was diagnosed with leukemia in late October. He has been receiving treatments in Sacramento ever since.

Family members are holding a fundraiser in Corning on Saturday, November 21st. It will be held at the PremierWest Bank at the corner of 4th and Solano Streets from 12-4 PM.

They will be selling hamburgers, chips, and a soda for $5. For more information, call Kelly at 275-1022.

A memorial date has been set up for the crew of the Life Flight helicopter that crashed near Susanville. Mountain Life Flight will be hosting the memorial at a hangar at the Susanville Airport.

It will take place at 1 PM on Friday. The physical address is 471-920 Johnsonville Road.

Former Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin might be making an appearance to talk in Redding. Tickets will go on sale on Monday, October 16th, at the Redding Convention Center. Ticket prices are $54 or $74, depending on where you sit.

There are other locations that will be selling the tickets. Northern Lights Energy, 2340 Wyndham Lane; Scarborough Office Design, 3070 Crossroads Drive; Redding Radio, 3360 Alta Mesa Drive.

Firefighters in Chico are now taking coat donations for this year's "Coats for Kids" coat drive.

The drive began Thursday, November 5th and will run through December 14th.
