OROVILLE, Calif. - Effective November 1, 2017, The Board of Supervisors will appoint Shari McCracken Interim Chief Administrative Officer.

McCracken will be taking the place of current CAO Paul Hahn who announced several months ago that he would be retiring at the end of October. Hahn had worked in that role for more than seven years.

The Board has unanimously decided to temporarily put the recruitment on hold and appoint McCracken as Interim CAO.

McCracken has served as Deputy Chief Administrative Officer since 2005, has managed numerous countywide projects and worked closely with each department during her tenure with Butte County. Prior to coming to Butte County, she worked in the Chief Administrator's Office in Sonoma County.

Chair of the Board of Supervisors, Bill Connelly, speaks highly of McCracken and states, "The full Board supports her, and I know she is going to be a tremendous leader."
