Chico police seek man who damaged public statue


CHICO, Calif. - Chico police are searching for a man that they have on camera damaging the General Vang Pao statue.

On March 19, shortly after 9 p.m., an unidentified person kicked the statue of General Vang Pao, damaging it.

Chico police are now asking for the public's assistance in identifying the suspect. According to officials, on the night of the vandalism, the suspect rode a red bicycle (pictured) and sat at the nearby fountain, proceeding to damage the statue and then got on the bike and left the area.
