Salvation Army on track to give toys to more than 600 families
CHICO, Calif. - The Salvation Army is on track to give toys to more than 600 families through Stuff the Bus.
Stuff the Bus is a toy collection, put on by the Salvation Army. The toys collected are given to kids in need during the holidays.
"It's saying to somebody in our community you are seen," Lt. Arwyn Rodriguera, with Salvation Army, said. "You are known. You are loved. You are not forgotten. It gives a parent a toy that they would not otherwise of been able to afford, that they could give to their child."
Rodriguera said last year, Stuff the Bus served 747 families. This year, they have had about 600 families sign-up.
They are still accepting sign-ups for another 10 days. You can become a Stuff the Bus gift recipient by heading to their Chapmantown Office on 16th Street in Chico.
