Officials investigating officer-involved shooting in Douglas City

DOUGLAS CITY, Calif. - The California Highway Patrol and the Trinity County Sheriff's Office are on scene of an officer-involved shooting at the Indian Creek Trailer Park that took place Thursday afternoon.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the Sheriff's Department was at the trailer park when a deputy discharged his weapon. CHP reports that the shots were fired around 4 p.m.

CHP said there is one victim and an ambulance was sent to the scene.

The reason that the Sheriff's Office was at the park, why a gun was fired, and who the victim is are unknown at this point. This is a developing story please check back for updates.
