Man dead after crash on Highway 99 in Chico

A man was killed in Butte County after crashing his truck into a tree on Highway 99.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) said the crash happened around 9:30 p.m. Sunday on Northbound Highway 99 south of the East 5th Avenue under crossing.

The CHP said the pickup was northbound when it went into the center median area and hit the guardrail, then went back across the northbound lanes and hit a tree.

Death investigation in Humboldt County

Deputies have found a body near Eel River in Humboldt County.

A man's body was discovered in the south side of the South Jetty near the mouth of the Eel River on Saturday, according to deputies.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office.

President to visit California this week

President Trump will be in California Tuesday to look at prototypes for the border wall between the United States and Mexico.

The visit will be Trump's first time in California since assuming the presidency.

Five dead after helicopter crash

A helicopter crash has left five people dead in New York City Sunday.

The pilot was the only person who survived after the plane crashed into the East River.

Siskiyou County plane crash over the weekend

A small plane crashed in Siskiyou County around 5 p.m. Saturday.

Some power lines were knocked down and sparked a small fire, but it was quickly put out.

Three people on board suffered minor injuries.
