BLS: Redding, Chico workers earn less than national average

According to the United States Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics, Redding workers earn 6 percent less than the national average.

The average worker in the Redding area earned an average hourly wage of $22.76 and an annual average wage of $47,340 in May 2017. The national average is $24.34 an hour.

Legal occupations were the highest paid at $46.78, followed by management at $46.03 an hour with an annual average salary of $95,730.
