Second suspect arrested in 2017 attempted murder
The Redding Police Department has arrested Mark Anthony Hill, 24, of Redding, for his alleged involvement in a 2017 shooting that happened in the 1800 block of Eugenia Avenue in Redding.
Police said on Tuesday, at approximately 4:15 p.m., Hill, who has been wanted since June of 2017, was arrested in the Sacramento area. Hill has been on the run since June 1, 2017, when a warrant was issued for his arrest charging him with attempted murder and mayhem.
Police said his charge's stem from a shooting that happened on April 22 which also involved a second suspect, Erik Santiago, 21, from Redding. Santiago has already plead guilty to charges resulting from the shooting and faces over 16-years in state prison.
Hill was wanted on four outstanding warrants in Shasta County and additional warrants out of Selma, Alabama, and Medford, Oregon.
