Three people injured in head-on crash in Redding
Five people were taken to the hospital with unknown injuries after a head-on collision in the area of Churn Creek Road and Hartnell Avenue in Redding Sunday night.
According to police, a black Honda Accord was traveling southbound on Churn Creek Road when the driver attempted a left turn into the Circle K Gas Station. The Honda was hit head on by a yellow Nissan Xterra.
Police say the driver of the Nissan ran a red light at the corner of Churn Creek and Hartnell, causing the collision.
Two passengers were reported to be in the Honda. They were taken to the hospital, along with the driver, complaining of injuries.
Police say the driver and passenger of the Nissan are both okay.
