Fire along I-5 north of Red Bluff slows traffic
RED BLUFF, Calif. - A fire burning north of Red Bluff, along I-5, has slowed traffic.
According to Tehama/Glenn County CAL FIRE, the fire has burned about 10 acres and is 10-15 percent contained.
CAL FIRE reported around 4:20 p.m. that forward progress of the fire had been stopped and that crews would be commencing to the mop up phase.
The fire, titled the Freeway Fire, is burning off of Jellys Ferry Road and I-5 north. According to witnesses, traffic in the area is being heavily affected as drivers slow to see what is going on.
No structures are threatened.
