Salvation Army in Tehama Co. participates in Stuff The Bus
RED BLUFF, Calif. - For the first time, the Salvation Army in Tehama County is taking part in KRCR News Channel 7's Toy Drive, Stuff the Bus
Maria Navarrete has been with The Salvation Army for about 11 years and for the last few years she has been the youth director.
Navarrete noted she interacts, mentors, and helps 600 to 800 children in Tehama County.
She said these children are deserving of Christmas gifts and hopes to give them more than just one gift this year.
"Just knowing that they will have a smile on Christmas morning is going to be amazing," Navarrete said as she began to cry. "It's an amazing feeling, it just fills your heart. It fills your soul."
Navarrete added they still have space for families to receive toys. Families can sign up at the Salvation Army location at 940 Walnut Street in Red Bluff.
