Man arrested for DUI after rollover injury crash in Fortuna
FORTUNA, Calif. —
A man was arrested Sunday after police say he rolled over his vehicle at the intersection of Redwood Way and Rohnerville Road.
According to the Fortuna Police Dept., at approximately 1:26 p.m., they received a report of a reckless driver in the area of Newburg Road. Moments later, they received reports of a rollover crash.
When officers arrived on scene they found a 2017 Nissan Sentra resting on its roof with a person still inside. Fortuna Fire Dept. and City Ambulance responded to get the driver out of the vehicle.
The driver, later identified as Jacob Micheal Johnson, 28, from Fortuna, was arrested for driving while under the influence of a controlled substance and was then released to receive treatment for his injuries at St. Joseph Hospital.
