Jennifer Scarborough
Jennifer Scarborough has called the Northstate home for more than a decade. "I feel so fortunate to live in such a beautiful place-- with such amazing people," she says. Jennifer has been blessed to live in three beautiful areas. She grew up in Santa Fe, New Mexico and went to college at the University of San Diego.
She worked as an anchor and reporter for KDCI News in Carlsbad before coming to KRCR. "Its been wonderful to have a front seat to the history-making events that have happened over the past ten years," she says, adding, "I am continually blown away by this community's generosity and strength of character."
Jennifer is a board member for the Shasta County Women's Refuge - a cause she believes in deeply. "The Women's Refuge is a critical part of this community-- from helping abused women find a better way of life for themselves and their children, to making sure victims of rape are cared for in the hours after their attack, to programs that work to prevent that kind of violence from happening in the first place," she says. Jennifer married Gary, a local attorney, in 2003 and they now have two boys Justin and Connor.

Mike Mangas
Mike and his family have roots that grow deep into the red clay of the Northstate, and he deeply cares for its people. He grew up in Redding, graduating from St. Joseph Elementary School and Shasta High School. Then it was on to California State University Chico to earn a broadcasting degree.
He has been a part of KRCR since 1975, first as an intern while attending Chico State, then living and working in Chico as a Bureau reporter, before returning to Redding as a News Anchor and reporter. Then he began a stretch of more than 20 years as Sports Director, during which time he was voted in to the Shasta High School, Shasta College and Shasta County Sports Halls of Fame. Now he brings his experience to the set as a News Anchor.
Mike has been married to his wife Lindy since 1979, is the proud father of three children: Jacob, Andy and Michaela, and just as proud of his grandson Joe.
Also an ordained Deacon, Mike is committed to serving the community through his ministry at St. Joseph parish. He also serves on the Shasta Community Health Center Board of Directors, the Advisory Board of Northern Valley Catholic Social Service, and is a member of the Rotary Club of Redding and the Shasta County Citizens Against Racism (SCCAR).
He enjoys jogging, cycling, swimming, golfing, reading, working around the house, and spending time with his family.

Tim Mapes
This Northstate native comes to the News Channel 7 anchor desk after spending nearly the first three years on the other side of the camera as a producer. A Shasta High School graduate, Tim attended the University of Nebraska - Lincoln, finishing his degree in communications at Simpson College.
After interning during his senior year of college at News Channel 7, Tim assumed the producer duties for two of KRCR's evening shows, eventually moving on for a stint as the morning show producer for KJRH Channel 2 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Tim had the opportunity to work as an Assistant producer of an emmy award nominated broadcast the morning Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh was executed. From there, it was on to WFTV Channel 9 in Orlando, Florida as an Associate Producer. He says he will never forget being in the newsroom as the September 11th attacks happened live, knowing the President was just a couple hours away in Sarasota, Florida.
Tim eventually decided the west coast was the best coast and moved back to Redding to cover the news for his hometown. When he's not working Tim likes to exercise, watch any sport imaginable and spend time with his wife, Crystal and their newborn baby, Marin.

Mike Krueger
Mike joined the News Channel 7 weather team in September of 1999 and has loved every minute of it. Prior to that he was in Wichita Falls, Texas right in the heart of Tornado Alley. Although he enjoyed storm chasing, the beauty of the Northstate more than makes up for it. After getting his degree in communications at Eastern New Mexico University in 1995 he moved to San Francisco where he studied weather for two more years at San Francisco State University.
You may remember Mike starting out on weekends at News Channel 7 until he eventually worked his way up to the morning show. Although he enjoyed the atmosphere (no pun intended) of the morning show he doesn't miss waking up at 3:00 in the morning!
When Mike isn't in the First Alert Weather Center you will find him working on home improvements and working in the yard. He and his Wife Jodi also enjoy what the Northstate has to offer by exploring the great outdoors with a weekend backpacking trip or a day hike. In July of 2003 Mike had an opportunity to climb to the summit of Mount Shasta and plans to do it again in the near future. Mike and his wife also enjoy what home has to offer with a good movie in the DVD player and a long nap.

Chita is very adventurous and an avid traveler. She's been to almost every state in the U.S. and every country in Europe and is currently planning a trip to Australia. She's been skydiving over the Swiss Alps, river rafting up the Ocoee River and rock climbing in Hume Lake.
