Garamendi, LaMalfa address tax bill and Flynn plea
NORTHSTATE, Calif. - Northstate congressmen Doug LaMalfa, (R, 1st Dist.), and John Garamendi, (D, 3rd Dist.), spoke by telephone with KRCR after returning home to California for the weekend from their duties in Washington, DC.
The congressmen spoke separately to KRCR prior to the passage of the Senate tax bill late Friday evening in Washington by a 51-49 margin. No Senate Democrats voted for the bill, which still faces further changes before becoming law.
Both congressmen also spoke about the plea deal between Michael Flynn and the Mueller investigation into meddling in the 2016 election. Flynn was President Trump's National Security Adviser.
