Thursday, October 5th Forecast: Cold start with warmer temperatures later in the day
After another cold start to the day we will warm things up close to normal for this time of year under mostly sunny skies.
Lows in the inland valleys are expected to drop to the low to mid 30's this morning prompting the National Weather Service to issue a Frost Advisory this morning for the inland areas of Humboldt County.
As high pressure builds back over Northern California we will see a warming trend through the first half of the weekend. Highs in the valley today will reach the mid 80's climbing to the upper 80's and low 90's Friday and Saturday. The Coast will top out in the mid to upper 60's.
The winds are expected to pick up once again as early as Saturday afternoon on the coast and Saturday night in the valley. The winds will most likely reach levels strong enough for more Red Flag Warnings on Sunday and Monday.
The winds should die down by Tuesday with highs just slightly above normal for this time of year.
