Weather Forecast: Another Chilly Morning But Sunny Skies Friday
Eureka, Arcata& Crescent City - The stagnant pattern continues for the Northcoast Friday and into this weekend.
The strong ridge of high pressure remains in place over the West Coast. This will continue to bring clear skies. It will also allow for parts of the inland to drop to near or below freezing, especially areas protected from the overnight winds and inversion.
Afternoon highs will continue to run above normal for the next 7 days. Most models keep the ridge of high pressure overhead for at least the next 10 days. It will weaken and strengthen at times during this time period but no major changes expected.
