Weather Forecast: Cold Start But Another Warm Afternoon Friday
Redding, Chico& Red Bluff - The stagnant pattern continues for the Northstate Friday and into this weekend.
The strong ridge of high pressure remain in place over the West Coast. This will continue to bring clear skies. It will also allow for temperatures to drop to near freezing for the valley in the mornings.
Occasional north winds will be possible each day into next week.
Afternoon highs will continue to run 10-15 degrees above normal for the next 7 days. Most models keep the ridge of high pressure overhead for at least the next 10 days. It will weaken and strengthen at times during this time period but no major changes expected.
