Weather Forecast: Thunderstorms Possible But Cooler Wednesday For The Northcoast
Eureka, Arcata& Crescent City - Thunderstorms will continue to be possible the rest of this workweek for the Northcoast.
Remnant moisture from what was once Hurricane Lidia is getting pulled north into Northern California from a trough offshore. This will continue to fuel thunderstorms through the rest of this week.
Thunderstorms will be wet but erratic winds associated with these thunderstorms will continue to be a threat for existing fires.
New fire starts will also be possible from lightning strikes that hit outside of rain shafts.
We'll finally see below normal afternoon highs as early as Wednesday but for sure by Thursday for the inland and interior.
The inland will warm back up Friday and into early next week but the heat will peak much lower than what we've seen over the last 2 weeks.
