Mortgage Matt challenges colleagues to donate to Stuff the Bus
REDDING, Calif. - There are only three days left before the big Stuff the Bus event benefiting the Salvation Army and kids in need throughout the Northstate.
For the first time Megastar Financial in Redding joined the cause and has a donation barrel in their front lobby. Branch Manager Matt Brown, aka Mortgage Matt, said it was easy to sign up to help the community this holiday season.
He's also chipping in $500 towards the cause and challenging Benji Edwardson at Prime Source Mortgage, Pete Metz at Loan Simple and Chris Lamm at Commerce Mortgage to do the same.
If they succeed Brown is willing to let them throw a pie in his face, but not just any pie. "Probably just a cream pie. Because it's going to be softer. No nuts, no walnuts, no almonds, nothing that can get in my eye and make me go blind," said Brown.
All new and unwrapped toy donations will be collected in the barrels through December 15. For a list of locations click here. You can also join KRCR for the live event Friday, December 8 at Crown Motors in Redding and the Downtown City Plaza in Chico.
