16-year-old Las Plumas High student arrested after school shooting threat
OROVILLE, Calif. —
According to Las Plumas High School Principal, Dan Ramos, a 16-year-old boy has been taken into custody after they say he left a threat in the school's bathroom about a school shooting.
According to an email sent out by Ramos Thursday morning, vandalism was found in the boy's restroom Wednesday which included writing on the walls with a blue marker and several notes being left on paper products in a stall. Ramos said one of the notes contained a threat that said, "School shooting on Friday".
Ramos said as a result of the threat, the school had deputies on campus Thursday to provide presence and to assist the school in finding out who was behind the threat.
Ramos said the 16-year-old is being booked into Juvenile Hall and the school will also be taking appropriate actions to administrate discipline.
