Arrest made in connection to 2017 Oroville homicide

    The Butte County Sheriff's Office says they have arrested a man in connection to the 2017 death of Lorenzo Paz, II, in Oroville.

    Due to information gathered during the ongoing investigation into Paz's death, deputies arrested Jeffrey Parrish, 31, from Oroville on Tuesday in the 2600 block of V6 Road in Oroville.

    Deputies say Parrish was booked into the Butte County Jail for homicide.

    On October 21, 2017, the Butte County Sheriff's Office received a report of a man found dead inside a home on the 2900 block of Greenville Street in Oroville.

    When deputies arrived at the home, they found Paz dead inside the home with a gunshot wound to the head.

    His death was ruled a homicide and the incident has been under investigation since.
