Facebook group formed to help Paradise businesses
PARADISE, Calif. —
The Paradise Ridge Chamber of Commerce started a Business-4-Business Facebook group page that connects businesses affected by the Camp Fire with businesses nationwide that will offer assistance with their recovery.
The group started Tuesday but has already received several donations of office furniture for a Paradise business that could use them.
"We already picked up office furniture from a law firm in Sacramento that was liquidating and a store in Danville that was liquidating," said Monica Nolan, the executive director of the Paradise Ridge Chamber of Commerce.
The chamber said it is vetting requests to ensure "good faith," urging those who are donating to do the same.
According to its website, 180 businesses are registered with the chamber of which approximately one third are inside the town of Paradise.
Nolan said there are many other businesses inside Paradise that have yet to notify the chamber that they've opened their doors.
