Paradise police say speed, alcohol are not a factor in life-threatening motorcycle crash

Paradise Police say a motorcyclist was taken to Enloe Medical Center with life-threatening injuries after a crash in Butte County Wednesday.

Around 3:30 p.m., Paradise Police, Butte County Fire, and Butte EMS personnel responded to the 6900 block of Skyway about a vehicle versus motorcycle crash.

The motorcyclist, Erik Lambert of Paradise, was unresponsive at the scene and was transported to Enloe Medical Center with life threatening injuries.

The driver of the vehicle, Steven Cookson of Paradise, was not injured.

The cause of the accident is under investigation, but police say speed or intoxication do not appear to be factors.
