Power restored to customers affected by Ranch Fire in Butte Co.

Update: As of 4 a.m. Tuesday morning, power has been restored to all PG&E customers affected by the fire near Forest Ranch.


CAL FIRE Butte Unit is working the scene of a vegetation fire on both sides of Highway 32 in Forest Ranch, with power lines and traffic impacted by the one acre blaze.

Reported at 8:26 p.m. Monday night, cooperating agencies CAL FIRE, Butte County Fire, PG&E and California Highway Patrol are on the scene.

Shortly after 9:11 p.m., CAL FIRE Butte Unit's Ranch Fire Incident Command said forward progress has been stopped and they are awaiting PG&E to complete full suppression.

According to the PG&E outages map, 316 customers were without power in the Forest Ranch area as of 10:40 p.m.

No closures are currently reported, but Highway 32 is expected to be impacted during the night.
