PV students win statewide multimedia contest for PSA's on elder, dependent adult abuse

Ten students from the Audio Production class at Pleasant Valley High School were awarded $1,800 in prizes for their efforts in a statewide multimedia contest Wednesday inside the school's library.

The students created audio public service announcements and signage designed to raise awareness of elder and dependent adult abuse. A few of the signs were on display at the awards presentation.

The contest was sponsored by several organizations, including the California Elder Justice Coalition and the Butte County Department of Employment and Social Services.

The prize awards were funded by Wells Fargo.
