Two arrested in Paradise Monday night for narcotics, prowling

Officers with the Paradise Police Department say Monday night they arrested two people in Paradise after they found them near construction equipment with methamphetamine.

Around 8:18 p.m., officers with the Paradise Police Department received a report of two people looking into construction equipment in the area of Skyway and Neal Road in Paradise.

Officers went to the area and found Jennifer Jacobson, 43, and Jean Jonas, 48, on a bike path near construction equipment left by workers making repairs from the Camp Fire.

Jonas' vehicle was found stuck in the mud nearby. This incident also occurred outside of the curfew set for the Town of Paradise between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. daily.

Jacobson was searched and officers found methamphetamine and narcotics paraphernalia. She was arrested and booked into the Butte County Jail for prowling, possession of narcotics paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine and violating curfew.

Jonas was arrested for prowling and violating curfew.
