Butte Co. elections office urging voters displaced by Camp Fire to update information
BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. —
The Butte County Clerk-Recorder/Registrar of Voters, Candace J. Grubbs, is urging residents displaced by the Camp Fire to update their mailing address with the Registrar of Voters so that they will receive important election materials for upcoming elections.
"We want to help voters who may have been impacted by the Camp Fire understand how to update their voter registration," said Grubbs. "Depending on what the voter's intent is will depend greatly on their registration options."
Voters who plan to return to their properties may keep the impacted homes address in order to continue to vote in their original precinct but will need to update their temporary mailing address on their registration.
Voters who do not intend to return to their impacted homes should re-register at their new permanent homes address.
