The Town of Paradise shared a post on Facebook Saturday containing screenshots of an employee working on the Camp Fire mocking fire victims in various ways.

The pictures were posted by Rob Freestone, who works for Bigge Crane and Rigging Co. in San Leandro. They include a dead cat holding a beer bottle, jumping in a burned-down trampoline and riding a mailbox designed to look like a fire truck among other things.

The Town of Paradise said in the post, "This is unacceptable and reprehensible behavior. Town leadership has contacted this subject's employer and he will no longer be working in our Town. The Paradise Police Department is looking into criminal charges."

Bigge Crane and Rigging Co. who employed Freestone responded to the incident on Facebook later in the day calling Freestone's actions "insensitive" and "reprehensible."

They reported that Freestone had been removed from the Camp Fire recovery effort.

Paradise police confirmed on Saturday that they would be pursuing criminal charges against Freestone. They say they have to consult with the District Attorney's Office first and start to pursue an investigation.

Freestone has not been arrested or formally charged yet. Bigge Crane and Rigging Co. was also confirmed by Paradise police to have been working the Camp Fire as a subcontracting job for PG&E at the time of the incident.
