Evacuation warning issued for community of Pulga through Wednesday due to incoming storm
PULGA, Calif. —
The Butte County Sheriff's Office has issued an evacuation warning for the community of Pulga due to potential flooding from Tuesday, January 15 at 10:00 p.m. through Thursday, January 17 at 7:00 a.m.
Officials say if you are in this area, you should evacuate to high ground prior to 10:00 p.m. Tuesday night.
A Flood Watch has been issued for Butte County, including the Camp Fire impacted areas, from Wednesday, January 16 at 4:00 p.m. through the morning of Thursday, January 17.
A Flood Watch means there is a possibility of flooding depending on the projected rainfall rates and other factors.
Officials added that if flooding does occur, it can quickly become a dangerous and life threatening situation.
If you are in the impacted area or are near a waterway downstream from an impacted area, you should also be prepared to leave immediately and evacuate to high ground.
Call 911 if you see any evidence of soil instability or debris flow in your area.
