According to Cal Fire, the Carr Fire remains at 227,098 acres but is now 85 percent contained.
According to Cal Fire, the Carr Fire has burned 227,098 acres and is 83 percent contained.
Zero structures are threatened at this time, and all evacuations have been lifted.
Heavy smoke over the area has continued to significantly reduced fire activity. Fire spread is being driven by fuels and topography, with high potential for roll out and spot fires.
Heavy timber fuels also still challenge firefighting efforts.
Battling terrain driven winds in proximity of the lake have complicated the predictability of this activity.
The fire continues to burn actively within containment lines.
Residents and the public are able to travel along Hwy 299, but they are asked to drive safely as fire crews and emergency personnel are still working in the area.
