
OROVILLE, Calif. — A 12-year-old is in stable condition after being shot by a teenager in Oroville.
The 16-year-old responsible for the shooting has since been arrested, according to the Butte County Sheriff’s Office.
The victim was shot Sunday at a home on the 5300 block of Margo Lane. The 12-year-old was taken to a local hospital before being airlifted to a Sacramento area hospital.
The young victim is in stable condition right now, sheriff’s officials say.
The shooter was arrested on Monday after deputies served a search warrant at a home on the 300 block of Lausen Street.
Sheriff’s officials aren’t releasing any more information because the victim and shooter are both juveniles.
The Butte County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the shooting.
