This Saturday, you can help raise money for local veterans.

"Nation's Finest," a national organization that helps vets and their families live better lives, is putting on this event in celebration of 50 years of operation. It's their first fundraiser of 2022 and their first-ever cornhole tournament.

So far this year, Nation's Finest has assisted roughly 200 local veterans in need. The fundraiser—which will happen across all Nation First locations this weekend—will feature food trucks, raffles, and music. Best of all, it will give the community the chance to interact with the many veterans of our area.

"Redding location [and] Chico location have combined together and they're hosting a cornhole tournament as their fundraiser," explained Redding Radio Host, Heather Ryan, whose cornhole company will provide the boards and organize the event. "There's also one being held in Humboldt County; there's one being held in Arizona...all over."

Ryan said that 100% of the proceeds will go to Nation's Finest and the work they do each day.

The fun will start at Anderson River Park at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, with registration/check-ins being from 10-11 a.m. You can also register your two-person team ahead of time, which is preferred, online at Nation's Finest main website.
