Shasta Youth Leadership Camp announced that applications are now open for campers to join their 2023 camp.

Aimed at students currently in 5th through 8th grades, this four-day, three-night experience organizers say it will be a journey filled with personal growth, fun activities, and valuable life lessons.

SYLC places great emphasis on fostering leadership skills while addressing critical issues such as youth violence prevention and drug abuse prevention. According to their website, the camp aims to provide campers with a solid foundation to become future leaders in their communities.

Prospective campers are advised by event organizers to discuss this opportunity with their parents or guardians and ensure that it does not conflict with any pre-planned family vacations or other summer activities. Attending SYLC promises four days of immersive learning, adventure, and building lifelong friendships.

From July 16 to July 19, campers will embark on an exciting journey hosted locally, immersing themselves in a range of engaging activities. The camp experience includes accommodation for three nights, all meals, a camp t-shirt, a commemorative bracelet, a water bottle, and a video link capturing the memorable moments of the camp.

The registration fee for each camper is $150, which should only be paid after receiving an acceptance packet, according to organizers. Upon acceptance, detailed information on how to confirm the child's spot and complete the payment process will be provided via email.
