Bethel Global Response deploys volunteers to Hurricane Michael
REDDING, Calif. —
Early Saturday morning, "Bethel Global Response" deployed a team of volunteers to help the Florida communities hit hardest by Hurricane Michael.
The team of 10 volunteers will go on a cross country trip for ten days teaming up with "Operation Blessing" to offer disaster relief.
They plan to offer assistance cleaning up debris, offering spiritual care and sharing their experiences from the Carr Fire.
"The majority of the team that's deploying actually lived in Redding before the Carr Fire. So, I know there's a level of compassion that I think is just at another level going in to serve at Hurricane Michael after going through the Carr Fire," said Jordan Pacilio, Bethel Global Response Director.
The volunteer team plans to post pictures of their trip online to update the Redding community as they go.
The Bethel Global Response team is part of Bethel Church, in Redding.
